For **heavy goods vehicles (HGVs)** of more than 3.5 t, the default speed is defined by HERE maps (ex-Nokia Map), specialist in the transit of heavy goods vehicles. The planning and the optimization of the routes are studied according to a road network adapted to HGVs vehicles.

For each category of vehicle and each type of road, an average speed is derived from multiple studies. This average speed takes into account the time spent on traffic or stopping in front of traffic lights. It does not take into account the time spent searching for parking spaces or deliveries.
