On the Mapotempo web application, the term is interchangeable with “destination”. A destination may be a service recipient, a store location, a collection location, a customer etc. Destinations are associated with a vehicle to make up a route.

Data are constantly updated free of charge by a committed community of contributors. Data are checked using aerial imagery, GPS receivers and traditional land maps.

In Mapotempo, an algorithm solves a range of problems associated with constraints such as distance, traffic, time windows, quantities to deliver, number of stops and stop times.
